Welcome to the New Wilcox Historical Society Website!

The Wilcox Historical Society is pleased to welcome you to our newly redesigned website!

Our new online home was created to make it easier than ever to explore the rich history of Wilcox County, learn about the Society’s preservation efforts, discover upcoming programs and events, become a member, and stay connected with all that is happening at WHS.

Visitors can explore the history and historic places that make Wilcox County so special, keep up with Society news and events, learn more about our ongoing preservation projects, and find information about the annual Wilcox Historical Society Tour of Homes.

The new website also includes a dedicated Members Area, giving current WHS members convenient access to member news, special events, membership information, and member benefits.

We extend a special thank-you to Catlyn Kilmury, owner of Merit Media, Marketing and Management, for creating our new website. We are also delighted to welcome Catlyn as one of the newest members of the Wilcox Historical Society!

For generations, the Wilcox Historical Society has worked to preserve and share the stories, places, people, and traditions that make our county unique. Our new website gives us another way to carry that mission forward—and to share Wilcox County’s remarkable heritage with an even wider audience.

We invite you to explore the new site, check back often for new stories and updates, and join us as we continue preserving the past for future generations.

Welcome to the new Wilcox Historical Society website—we’re glad you’re here!
